12/18/2024, I ordered a San Francisco Safeway pre-roasted chicken and a vegetable platter via DoorDash for the 1st Xmas party at work. The hospital has been open for almost 30 years so why it's only the 1st Xmas party is beyond me. NOT !! So Let's put the rat on the table: in the 5 years I've worked here, there is a thicket of hate and jealousy that permeates the facility all shifts. Anyways, it was a beautiful success for today !!!!! NOTE: this Safeway is located in a 'jologs' area so no night shopping advised per my experience.
I just want to shout out Ms. Paula at this location, yesterday my sister and I decided to get sandwiches for lunch, my favorite chips are plain Lay's, no shelf had them. Ms. Paula overheard me talking about it, she stepped in took a 2nd look, no plain Lay's, I thanked her and grabbed an alternative. I'm at the register, all I hear is, "found some" I turn, it's Ms. Paula with that yellow bag!! Usually I come on here speaking of a not so great experience, but today I just want to give Ms. Paula props for excellent customer service!!!!
Best time to come in near opening and closing times for faster times. This Safeway, the best stocked store versus the ones on Market, Webster, and downtown. I come at those times, and Costumer Service is finend by my standards, polite and such. The bad is that the lanes are from front to back with no spit in the middle, so if it is your 1st time there and only planned on getting a few particulars, it can be time consuming . If you don't want to bag your groceries, you have to pay 25 cents per bag as with all safeways. FOUR stars for this Safeway at the times I mentioned and in comparison to other Safeways in area. TWO stars compared to all other supermarkets.
Big store in a useful location. Able to find all the drinks and snacks we were looking for as we are visiting with AirBnB nearby for a few days. Huge parking lot that is useful but not that clean. TONS of pigeons that move in large flocks together so that is interesting to watch.
